Okay if u think Fender Japan is all cool and their guitars made by Japanese people are the greatest, think again. One thing i didnt take note of is the production date. Most people say Japs are top quality craftsman and eats Americans as sushi for breakfast, and also finds out that Japs make sushi better than the english.
.
Well its all true that they make better sushi and you can tell it even tho u havent been to Japan, because you trust them, and hey, they are the original founder of the food ! But what if you give them a recipe from your country and ask them to duplicate the exact flavour ? Well you know they’re good, and so they make the same replica for your taste, at least better than China’s counterpart. So that is the early days, they are fresh and new and its a new idea, so they work diligently to get business.
.
But gone are the early days of guitar making, and only those Fender Japan dated JV are the only guitar that goes collectable. And whatmore if Fender isnt their home country brand ? Of course i would expect them to duplicate Fender and make their own Fender look-alike, and 99% of players says that their counterpart beats USA flat on the face, makes pancake out of it, and finds that the pancake taste bad afterall. Har Har ..
.
Ok so what i’m trying to say is, all guitars made today, roughly 2006 onwards, are all badly done, regardless of made in Japan, China, Indonesia, Korea, USA. It doesnt matter which country made the guitar, as long as if you’re looking for a decent Fender, avoid Squier, Prince, or any other brand that looks like a Fender. BUT, if you manage to grab a hold on Tokai and such made in Japan, then it’s all worth it. Anyhow You dont really need to go overboard and spend US$1250 on a ‘Crafted in Japan’ model. Unless you have an itchy pair of ears that cannot withstand bad music, then go for Japanese counterpart, not Fender. Or if you have too much cash in hand and have nothing better to do, then go ahead and spend it on Fender USA, and like i said it doenst matter which country bakes the cakes, its all the same and does not have the 80’s guitar craftsmanship anymore.
.
So fine i’ve made some bad choises and decicion, but money’s mine and its up to my stupidity to get what i think is best. So im just gonna spend a few more couple hundreds to get Epiphone and kick some ass again, and this time i dont need to worry which country bakes it, but all in all, AVOID made in CHINA. Period.
.
Anyhow, i’ll get the guitar reviewed in the hands of repair mens and see what they think of it. But just hopefully, i get those real strat lovers that knows the price i paid for this, and critisise it more than i can.
